Privacy policy for the Tootie application

Introduction 

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform users of this “Tootie” application (hereinafter “Application”) available in the Apple Store and Google Play, and of services provided by Tootbus (hereinafter referred to as “we” or “Application”) by any person who accesses or uses them (hereinafter referred to as “you” or “users”), of how personal data is collected and processed by Tootbus. 

It is also intended to inform users of their rights and how they can exercise these rights in accordance with current national regulations and Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data. 

 

The data controller is the company RATP Développement, a public limited company with €53,246,742 of share capital whose registered office is located at 54, quai de la Rapée LAC LA 30, 75012 Paris and which is registered in the Paris Trade and Companies Register under the number 389795006.

1. Collected data

No oral conversations are registered or stored. Voice requests are processed transiently for the sole purpose of generating a response.

Data that may be collected:

  • Geolocation data: used solely to check that the user is within the city of Paris.
  • Voice data: captured temporarily so that a response to the user’s request can be generated and sent.

Oral requests are processed in real time and are not recorded, kept or used for any other purposes.

 

2. Purpose of processing

Collected data is used solely to:

  • Provide access to and operate the Application;
  • Improve the Application’s stability and security.

 

3. Legal basis

The basis of the processing is performance of the contract between the user and the developer.

 

4. Recipients and processors

Data may be passed on to technical service providers acting on the developer’s behalf. No technical service providers have access to oral conversations, as they are not stored.

 

5. Security

The developer implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect collected data.

 

 6. Use of artificial intelligence

The Application is a conversational tourist guide that makes use of artificial intelligence. With this technology, users can obtain historical information, personalised recommendations or help with getting around, all in real time and tailored to your geolocation. The Application is distributed in the form of a non-exclusive and non-transferable licence for use.

Artificial intelligence can produce inaccurate, incomplete or erroneous responses, which are commonly called “hallucinations”. Therefore:

  • Generated responses are provided for information purposes only and must not under any circumstances be interpreted as professional, legal, medical or financial advice.
  • The developer declines all responsibility for decisions or actions taken on the basis of information generated by artificial intelligence.
  • Users are invited to check all information provided by the Application before using or trusting it.

By using this Application, you acknowledge that you have been informed of these limitations and accept sole responsibility for your use of the service.

 

7. Changes to the Privacy Policy

When changes are made to this Privacy Policy, updates are published in the Company’s Applicationor in an email stating the date of the update. We invite users to read it regularly.
