Windsor Castle

When you arrive in Windsor, you can't miss the castle. Windsor Castle has a rich history. It is the longest-occupied palace in Europe. The construction of the castle began in 1070 and it has been the home to monarchs for nearly 1,000 years. I was the Queen’s favourite weekend residence.

Platinum jubilee beacons will be lit in the 54 capital cities of the Commonwealth countries to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, for the first time.

The event will take place on the Long Walk at nightfall. For the occasion, music will be played on the Beacon site. After the lighting, you will have the opportunity to see wonderful fireworks, which can be best viewed from the Long Walk.
