Top things to do in Paris during Easter holidays

The Easter holidays, also known as spring holidays, take place from 23 April to 9 May 2022. This period is an opportunity to discover many unmissable events in Paris with your family. Guided tours, exhibitions, museums, fairs, Tootbus presents a selection of activities and outings to do with children.

1. Cultural Easter

Tootbus Kids Tour

Book Festival

After two cancellations in 2020 and 2021, the Salon du Livre is reinventing itself and becoming the Paris Book Festival. This event will take place from 22 to 24 April 2022 at the Grand Palais Éphémère and in various prestigious Parisian venues. This year, India has been selected as the guest of honour. Admission is free for this 2022 edition, so come and meet the big names in literature such as publishers and authors during signings and conferences.

2. Gourmet Easter

Egg hunt

For the greatest pleasure of the little ones, go on the adventure of the unmissable Easter egg hunt during your trip to Paris.

The famous Royal Monceau Palace opens its doors for an Easter Brunch on Sunday 17 and Monday 18 April 2022. For this purpose, the establishment offers a savoury, sweet and of course chocolate buffet! Children can enjoy a giant egg hunt in the hotel.

Eggs hunt in Paris

To enjoy the fresh air, the Thoiry Zoo-Safari is offering an egg hunt on Sunday 17 and Monday 18 April 2022 from 10am to 2pm.

At the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, a giant treasure hunt is organised on Saturday 16, Sunday 17 and Monday 18 April 2022. This event will lead you in the footsteps of illustrious characters from the Grand Siècle, through fun activities, and everyone will leave with a chocolate loot from the Leonidas house!

The Domaine de Saint-Jean de Beauregard will welcome children aged 3 to 10 for an egg hunt on 17 and 18 April 2022, from 2pm to 6pm. Many additional activities are proposed.

Finally, the Ferme de Gally, the Tourist Office of Bry-sur-Marne, the Comité des Fêtes de Créteil, the Château de Breteuil and the Cité Médiévale de Provins also offer Easter egg hunts. All you have to do is choose!

3. Sensational Easter

Foire du Trône

The oldest funfair returns to Paris from 1 April to 6 June 2022. Come and wander between the hundreds of attractions of the Foire du Trône installed on the Pelouse de Reuilly. Enjoy a cotton candy or a candy apple, take a ride on the different rides. The Foire du Trône is the largest and most prestigious fairground in Europe.

Jardin d'Acclimatation

In the Bois de Boulogne, come and enjoy the attractions of the Jardin d'Acclimatation. The park, which dates back to Napoleon III, offers some forty activities for the whole family in an exceptional setting.

Ballon de Paris Generali

4. Natural Easter

Parc zoologique de Paris

Go behind the scenes at the Parc zoologique de Paris from 23 April to 7 May. Discover different species of birds in semi-liberty in the tropical greenhouse and in the large aviary. On Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:30 am, observe their way of life within their ecosystem in the company of a zookeeper.

National Museum of Natural History

The National Museum of Natural History in Paris is a group of museums, gardens, galleries and zoos dedicated to the treasures of nature. Come and discover more than 450 emblematic species of life, both present and fossilized, in the Grande Galerie de l'évolution. Jardin des Plantes

The Jardin des Plantes is open all year round free of charge. The large greenhouses of the Jardin des Plantes form a group of five greenhouses built between 1836 and 2010. See the tropical and exotic plants in the rainforest greenhouse.

Foire de Paris

After an absence of two years, the Foire de Paris is back from 28 April to 9 May 2022. This trade event has been a must for the curious since 1904. This historic event is home to numerous stands, workshops and activities as well as parades and concerts. This year, the fair will feature Martinique, Guadeloupe, Africa, French Guiana, Haiti and many other destinations, through the Tropiques en Fête Festival.
